So what’s happening at the reception other than meeting the bride and groom, having some cake, and some dancing?
First of all, and most important for some people, is that we will not be having a full catered meal. We will have a few snacks and refreshments which will include a coffee bar, punch, and water. It is our goal that everyone has an enjoyable time, so might we suggest, you consider having something before you arrive if this will be of concern.
The couple hopes to entice everyone to mingle & dance a little during our 3 hours together. While the reception will begin at three o`clock there may be a delay before the wedding party arrives due to the photos being taken.
Seating in the reception hall is open except for a few tables marked as reserved (for the parents and immediate family).
There will be several traditional events that occur like the toast to the couple, wedding couple/family dances including the dollar ($) dance, cutting of the cake and some line-style dances. Both the bride and groom are underage so we will have a coffee bar instead of alcohol. This may be a downer for some, so we ask that you accept our apology in advance.
