Ideas for Apparel

First and foremost our wedding day is a time to celebrate our union in the sight of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When reading the information below keep in mind that we all should be honoring Him in worship together, in all things, including our dress.

We would like you to join us in the whimsical fun. If you are someone who likes to dress in a style that is a bit more outside of the box or you love cosplay, this is definitely a wedding for you to celebrate with us. We would like to highly suggest that our guests come to our wedding in some more colorful or geeky dress clothes, as your comfort level allows. 

Examples for Men:

• Patterned or themes suit/vest/tie(bow tie)
• Colored suit 
• Long coat
• A fedora
• Cloak (if you are so brave)
• A cosplay that has to do with a suit, fantasy or medieval dress; which could include steampunk.

If you are not comfortable wearing a pattered suit or dressing outside the box, a fun tie will suffice for us.

One final note for guys, please wear a shirt and we don’t feel that tight pants would be appropriate for our event. 

Examples for Women:

• Patterned/geeky dress
• Fun formal (something you would probably wear to homecoming but not the prom)
• Female dress suit
• Cloak (if you are brave)
• Cosplay of characters from modern-day, preferably if they had some type of formal getup, fantasy or medieval dress; which could include steampunk.

If you do not feel comfortable wearing geeky dresses or cosplay or dressing outside the box, dress attire that might have a bit more of a unique pattern or style than your average dress would suffice just fine.

Ladies: Please do not wear an outfit that will have a plunging neckline, shows your stomach, skirts that are more than two above the knee or tight pants. Again, as we stated, for the guys, this would not be appropriate for our event.

Luke and Anna do not want to make anyone uncomfortable; we would like you just to let loose and have fun. So wear what feels fun but comfortable for you. Therefore, for the sake of our fellow guest, if you are completely comfortable dressing outside of the box, we would ask that you would kindly not wear an outfit that has lots `loud` color might blind people that are not used to it. would also ask that you please dress modestly.  We do not mean to cramp your style, but we would like you to be considerate of others, and there are plenty of cosplays and fun attire out there that meet these requirements. So have fun getting creative in that sense too.
